CO2Sense nominated for Funder of the Year

August 14th, 2014 | 8:47 am

CO2Sense is pleased to be nominated as a finalist for Funder of the Year at the 2014 Community Energy Awards.

The awards, established by Energise London, recognise individuals and organisations from across the UK who have made significant contributions to the community energy sector. Competition was high and CO2Sense are thrilled to have made it through to the finals; sharing our position with the crowd funding platform Trillion Fund and the ethical bank Triodos.

Our nomination is the result of a long track record in providing innovative and flexible finance to some of the UK’s most impactful community schemes including the 12MW Roseland wind farm, the 5MW Origin community wind scheme and Esk Energy Yorkshire’s 50kW hydro scheme.

The nomination is also an acknowledgment of the benefit that our uniquely structured evergreen fund is able to deliver. As we cater to both commercial and community projects, we can recycle the profits from our commercial investments to further support community projects across the UK. Working with both sectors also allows us to identify and promote partnerships opportunities.

These attributes, combined with the experience of our team, have enabled CO2Sense to be recognised as a leading funder of community renewable energy projects in the UK.

All the finalists for all categories can be found at: with the winners to be announced at Oxford Town Hall on the evening of September 4th.

CO2Sense are an experienced funder and would be happy to discuss potential projects with both commercial and community groups looking to raise funds.
