CO2Sense investment in GWE AD plant fully repaid

October 10th, 2013 | 2:07 pm

This month sees one of CO2Sense’s investments being fully repaid, 2 years ahead of schedule.  In 2010 CO2Sense provided £750,000 of investment into the GWE Biogas Anaerobic Digestion plant in Driffield, East Riding of Yorkshire. The investment was used to build one of the most technically advanced AD plants in the UK.  Following a successful first 2 years of operation GWE agreed with CO2Sense an early repayment plan.

The CO2Sense relationship started in 2007 when the Directors of GWE attended a CO2Sense event at which they secured confidence to pursue the scheme. Initial advice and support culminated in the investment being made in 2010.

Jemma Benson, Associate Director commented:

“Having worked with the GWE team since 2007 it’s great to see the project a success and the CO2Sense investment meeting its purpose.”

Now the investment has been repaid the funds will be used by CO2Sense to support the development of further renewable energy schemes across the UK. Project developers interested can find more details here, or contact Jemma Benson on or 0113 247 3846.
